We met with Lord Pembroke, John Glen MP, and others to discuss Wyatt Homes' housing development proposal in Harnham, where the Halt Harnham Housebuilding community group raised concerns and objections.
Last week, our Steering Group met with Lord Pembroke and his estate manager, along with John Glen MP, to discuss Wyatt Homes' proposed housing development on Site 8 in Harnham.
We highlighted our Halt Harnham Housebuilding (HHH) community group, which submitted 2,800+ objections to the development on Sites 8 & 9, representing around 20% of all objections in Wiltshire and 50 times the average number per site. We addressed the main issues of transport and traffic, visual impact, deliverability, archaeology, and biodiversity.
Lord Pembroke expressed interest in our concerns and offered to share our presentation with Wilton House Trustees. We also discussed engaging with Wyatt Homes regarding our findings on deliverability. A positive first meeting concluded with hopes for future discussions involving Lord Pembroke, the Trustees, and Wyatt Homes.
